Narcotics Raid Uncovers Arms and Explosives

Redondo Beach police have seized explosives, 50 handguns, a semiautomatic rifle, a machine gun and silencers during a narcotics search in Los Angeles, authorities said.

David Pick, 40, was arrested at his home in the 100 block of West 214 Street on Tuesday at around 12:30 p.m., said Redondo Beach Police Sgt. Phil Keenan.

Inside the residence, police found seven pipe bombs and more than 60 pounds of explosives, Keenan said.

Apart from charges related to weapon possession, Pick has been charged on suspicion of possessing and manufacturing destructive devices and having methamphetamine and with the intent to sell, Keenan said.
