Boy, 13, Charged in Rape of 7-Year-Old Girl
Sexual assault charges were filed Friday against a 13-year-old Palmdale boy suspected of raping a 7-year-old girl after she chased her puppy into a neighbor’s backyard.
The boy, whose name was not released because he is a minor, is to be arraigned Monday in Sylmar Juvenile Court on one count of sexual penetration by a foreign object with an allegation that the girl suffered great bodily injury in the attack late Tuesday afternoon.
The girl required surgery, said Jane Robinson, spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office.
The boy was released to his father.
