A 52-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for allegedly burning down his house, authorities said Monday.

Gabriel Perez was being held on $100,000 bail at the Los Angeles County jail in Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. He was arrested Sunday at a nearby business after witnesses told investigators they saw him leave the scene on a bicycle, officials said.

County firefighters extinguished the blaze, which caused $90,000 damage to the two-story house on 17th Street East, at 11:58 p.m. Sunday, about 10 minutes after they arrived, authorities said.
