KCET gives viewers a second chance to catch “Jazz” (8 p.m.), Ken Burns’ 10-part opus spanning the last century of America’s music. Among the highlights are archival footage of Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie, Ethel Waters, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington. “Jazz” continues Thursday through Sunday.

Original summer programming on the networks is a plus, but CBS isn’t doing us a favor by resurrecting the dreadful comedy “Ladies Man,” which premiered with a resounding thud in the fall of 1999. Alfred Molina stars as a family man outnumbered by several women in his household. Making matters worse, CBS will burn off back-to-back episodes at 8 and 8:30 p.m.
