* A Cappella--The Persuasions, a New York-based a cappella singing group, will perform at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Warner Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Woodland Hills. The group, which has been singing 38 years without a band, performs doo-wop, blues, gospel and pop. Besides recording more than a dozen of its own albums since 1968, the group has recorded and performed background vocals with Stevie Wonder, Phoebe Snow, Don McLean, Joni Mitchell and many others. * Air Show--The Van Nuys Airport Aviation Expo 2001 will feature advanced and vintage aircraft, flyovers, skydivers, demonstrations and live music this weekend in Van Nuys. Flyovers by the F-117A Stealth Fighter and the F/A-18 Hornet are planned for both days. On display will be such advanced military aircraft as the B-52 Bomber, the B-1B Lancer Bomber, the F-14 Tomcat and the AV-8B Harrier as well as vintage aircraft like the WWII-era B-29 Superfortress and the B-24 Liberator. The U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and hang glider Dan Buchanan will also perform both days. * Choral Concert--The Burbank Chorale, the oldest performing arts organization in the San Fernando Valley, will present two performances of “Choral Classics at the Movies” this weekend. The show, which marks the chorale’s 81st anniversary, will include music by Mozart, Barber, Bernstein and the Beatles. Saturday, 7:30 p.m.: Hall of Liberty, Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Burbank.
