Titans Win Twice, Powered by Topping’s Six RBIs
Jenny Topping drove in six runs Tuesday, leading the Cal State Fullerton softball team to victories over visiting Washington and Northwestern.
Topping, a La Habra High graduate who led the nation in home runs and RBIs last season at Washington, hit a three-run homer against the Huskies, helping Cal State Fullerton defeat Washington, 10-1, in a game stopped after five innings due to the mercy rule.
Topping had a bases-loaded triple in the second game against Northwestern, highlighting a five-run third inning for the Titans (27-8).
Yasmin Mossadeghi and Amanda Hockett also had three-run homers in the first game for Fullerton.
