* Horse Show--A Memorial Day Classic Grand Prix on Monday will cap a weekend of equestrian activity at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, 480 Riverside Drive, Burbank. Participants will have the opportunity to earn points toward the American Grandprix Assn. Horse and Rider of the Year titles. * Musical--The Music Theater of Southern California production of “Annie,” based on Harold Gray’s Depression-era comic strip “Little Orphan Annie,” opens Friday at the Alex Theatre, 216 N. Brand Blvd., Glendale. The show, with music and lyrics by Charles Strouse and Martin Charnin, won three Tony awards when it opened on Broadway in 1977. In 1982 it was made into a feature film, directed by John Huston and starring Albert Finney and Carol Burnett. Show times: Friday, 8 p.m.; Saturday, 2 and 8 p.m.; Sunday, 2 and 7 p.m. $22-$42. * Swing Tribute--Horace Heidt Jr. will lead a musical tribute to his father, the legendary bandleader and radio star of the 1930s, Saturday at the Horace Heidt Estates, 14155 Magnolia Blvd., Sherman Oaks. The dinner-dance program will feature live swing music performed by the Horace Heidt Orchestra, plus performances by the Coasters, Dick Van Patten, Barbara McNair and others. * Greek Festival--The 28th annual Valley Greek Festival is this weekend at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 9501 Balboa Blvd., Northridge. Experience Greek culture, live Greek music and Greek folk-dancing. Taste a variety of Greek foods, including souvlaki, moussaka, spanakopita and saganaki.
