Update--Mussina felt he had good stuff in his Game 1 start; he simply had no idea where it was going. Command problems were the primary culprit for his three-inning, five-run, six-hit effort in a 9-1 loss to the Diamondbacks. Mussina started that game on eight days’ rest. Batista, the Arizona right-hander, hasn’t started since Oct. 17 against Atlanta.
