Holiday Closures
* Offices: On Thursday, all government offices, courts, banks, post offices, stock and commodity exchanges, libraries, schools and many businesses will be closed.
On Friday, city, county and state offices will be closed. Many libraries and schools also will be closed.
* Transportation: On Thursday, Metrolink trains will be closed; MTA buses will follow Sunday schedules.
* Trash: There will be no trash pickup Thursday by Los Angeles refuse workers. City residents whose trash collection falls on Thursday will have their trash collected Friday. Residents whose trash pickup falls on Friday will have their trash picked up Saturday.
