Powell Leads No. 7 Stanford Over Minnesota at Hawaii Tournament

Nicole Powell had 19 points and eight rebounds to lead seventh-ranked Stanford over Minnesota, 96-65, in the first round of the Rainbow Wahine Classic on Friday night at Honolulu.

Lindsey Yamasaki added 17 points, while N’Tae Thiel had 14 for the Cardinal (3-0).

Janel McCarville led the Gophers (2-1) with 19 points.
