Washington owner Daniel Snyder acknowledges he is concerned about the team’s 0-3 start under Coach Marty Schottenheimer, but he told a National Press Club Luncheon in Washington that his team needs time to develop.

“One thing that’s definitely being displayed is how fickle fans can be,” Snyder said. “We all need to give Schottenheimer a little bit more time to get things underway. It takes time to put together a winning organization.”

When asked if he would become a more hands-on owner, like Dallas’ Jerry Jones, Snyder quipped, “That’s a funny question now, isn’t it? Y’all didn’t want me to meddle, now did you? Got what you wanted. It’s a good question, but I’ll go to the next one.”
