Man, 33, Dies After Being Shot at a Bar
A 33-year-old man died early Saturday after a gunman walked up and shot him at a bar, police said.
The shooting at 1642 E. Artesia Blvd., near Gaviota Avenue, happened about 11:15 p.m. on Friday, Long Beach police said. The victim, Cayetano Corrales, was standing near a table when a man entered the bar and walked up to him and shot him several times in the chest, police said. The suspect then ran out of the bar.
Corrales was pronounced dead at Long Beach Memorial Hospital at 12:09 a.m., police said. The suspect was described as being in his 20s, wearing a white long-sleeve shirt and black pants. The motive was unknown, police said.
