Rosh Hashanah Prep: Debby Segura gives you recipes for Rosh Hashanah in this class from the Culinary Friends of the Jewish Community Library of Los Angeles. L.A. County Fair: The 79th L.A. County Fair begins. Check out the textile barn or the history of citrus farming at the FairView Farms and Education Center. The Flower and Garden Pavilion takes France as its theme with replicas of the Eiffel Tower and Monet’s Garden. The Vineyard offers samples of the gold-medal-winning wines (judged in May). Rides, carnival games, horse races, concerts and children’s activities, too. Tour of Little Saigon: Food writer Haley Ngyuen takes you on this tour of Little Saigon in Westminster, sponsored by the American Institute of Wine and Food. Drink: The Flask Liquor store hosts this wine tasting with hors d’oeuvres and wines from Grgich Hills and Sunstone Wineries.
