Palmdale Headed to Softball World Series

In Girls’ Big League softball (ages 14-18), the team from Palmdale defeated Riverside, 2-1, on Thursday in the championship game of the Western Regional in Palmdale. Palmdale advances to the World Series in Kalamazoo, Mich., where its first game is Monday against the winner of the Netherlands-South Africa game, which will represent Europe.
