Encinitas--Local restaurants will dish up specialties for the Taste of Main Street on Aug. 15. Cedarville--Venture to Modoc County for the Last Frontier Fair Aug. 15-18. The old-fashioned fest has rides, equestrian events, livestock, entertainment and a parade (Aug. 18). Mammoth Lakes--There’s more than art to Art a la Carte Aug. 17-18.
