Randy Moss had four catches for 76 yards and a touchdown, leading the Minnesota Vikings to a 14-10 victory over a diluted version of the Tennessee Titans in the teams’ second-to-last exhibition game Friday night at Minneapolis.

Guiding the Vikings’ first-team offense for one half, Daunte Culpepper had some overthrows during a 10-for-15, 137-yard performance.

A perfectly thrown 67-yard pass to Moss on the first snap of the second quarter was the highlight of Culpepper’s night.

Beating Dainon Sidney deep, Moss--to whom Minnesota has pledged to throw 40% of its passes--was tackled inches from the goal line.

Culpepper’s sneak two plays later gave the Vikings a 7-0 lead.

With one minute remaining before halftime, Moss capped a 10-play, 75-yard drive against mostly second-stringers with a wide-open, four-yard touchdown reception on a quick slant pattern that made it 14-3.

Cornerback Samari Rolle was one of three Tennessee regulars who didn’t play because of injuries, and the Titans held out six other starters who were slightly hurt--among them quarterback Steve McNair, running back Eddie George and tight end Frank Wycheck.

New England 23, Carolina 3--Tom Brady threw his first touchdown passes of the exhibition season, to David Givens and Christian Fauria, as the Patriots won at Foxboro, Mass.

Adam Vinatieri, whose 48-yard field goal on the last play won the Super Bowl in February, had three field goals and is 10 for 11 in exhibition games.

Baltimore 13, Philadelphia 12--For the second consecutive week, the Eagles missed a two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter, losing at Philadelphia.

Tim Hasselbeck’s one-yard touchdown run with 1:19 left in the game got Philadelphia (1-2) within a point.

But Rod Smart dropped a pass from Hasselbeck on the conversion attempt.

Jeff Blake threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Javin Hunter and Matt Stover kicked two field goals to lead the Ravens (2-1).

Jacksonville 24, Chicago 16--David Garrard led the Jaguars to 17 second-half points and a comeback victory at Champaign, Ill.
