Man Killed in Fiery 2-Vehicle Collision

A man was killed Monday when his car struck a truck stopped at a red light and burst into flames, trapping him inside, authorities said.
The accident occurred about 2:20 p.m. at Idaho Street and Lambert Road.
Witnesses told police that the driver had passed another vehicle before changing lanes again, striking the panel truck. Onlookers attempted to rescue the man but were unsuccessful.
Investigators said they will use dental records to identify the dead man.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
