Brian Gionta scored at 2:51 of overtime and Martin Brodeur earned his third consecutive shutout over Philadelphia as the New Jersey Devils beat the Flyers, 1-0, Monday night.

The Devils lead the Atlantic Division by a point over the Flyers and two points over Pittsburgh.

Gionta one-timed a shot from the slot past Roman Cechmanek for the winner.

Brodeur, who has shut out the Flyers for 207 minutes, finished with 26 saves, including a game-saving stop on a breakaway by Simon Gagne only seconds before Gionta’s winner.

It was Brodeur’s 57th career shutout and second this season -- both against the Flyers.

It was also the fourth consecutive 1-0 game between the teams, with the Devils, and Brodeur, winning the last three.

The loss overshadowed a strong performance by Cechmanek, who made 28 saves.

Cechmanek stopped with his stick a shot by Patrik Elias during a power play in the second period -- New Jersey’s best scoring opportunity in regulation -- and a slap shot from close range by John Madden with 30 seconds left in the third period.
