Her Streak Is on Line

She hasn’t made much noise on the track lately, but Aetha is the answer to a trivia question.

The daughter of Hermes is the last filly or mare to have beaten Bush Triumph. In breaking her maiden on Aug. 7 at Del Mar, Aetha finished seven lengths ahead of the daughter of Trempolino, who was the 7-5 favorite.

Since that afternoon, Bush Triumph has been perfect. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Fishelberg and trained by Mike Mitchell, the 4-year-old filly has rattled off five consecutive victories -- one on dirt and four on the turf.

Bush Triumph will try to keep her roll going today against five others in Hollywood Park’s seventh race, a $58,000 allowance at 1 1/16miles on the grass.

The 2-1 second choice on Russ Hudak’s morning line, Bush Triumph will have to contend with a Bobby Frankel-trained, Ed Gann-owned entry.

Nunatall will race coupled with Final Destination, who is making her first start in this country after winning three of nine in New Zealand, and she is dropping out of a Grade I race.

Race of the day: Bluesthe- standard will try for his 10th win in 16 starts and fifth in seven tries at Hollywood Park in today’s fourth, a $40,000 claimer at seven furlongs.

Who’s hot: Alex Solis. The jockey was hot in Inglewood last week and begins today’s racing second in the standings. He has 26 winners at the meet, two behind Laffit Pincay.

Who’s not: Alfredo Miranda. The jockey is one for 52 at Golden Gate Fields.

Exotically speaking: A place pick all singling Alpine Singer in the first, using Encino Ump and Native Vitality in the second, singling Eric Da Bomb in the third and Bluesthestandard in the fourth, Dream Machine and Slewping in the fifth, Gambler’s Mark, Logician and Granny’s Car in the sixth, singling the Nunatall-Final Destination entry in the seventh and Pennysenyen in the eighth.
