Lipscomb (3-7) at Pepperdine (5-4), 1 p.m., KPLS (830) -- The Waves can only improve on their poor showing in a 77-61 loss Friday against Utah. The Waves were outrebounded, 48-32, and made three of 22 three-pointers (13.6%). Three Pepperdine players -- Devin Montgomery, Glen McGowan and Will Kimble -- missed the game because of various ailments. They are not expected to play against Lipscomb, an independent NCAA team that will join the Atlantic Sun Conference next year. Lipscomb lost Friday at Kansas State, 88-64, with freshman center Charlie Jenney scoring a team-high 15 points.

UC Irvine (3-3) at St. Mary’s (5-3), 3 p.m., KUCI-FM (88.9) -- As 7-foot center Adam Parada goes, so go the Anteaters, who were held to a season low in scoring Thursday at Stanford, 84-57. Parada has been in early foul trouble in Irvine’s three losses. He played only 15 minutes and scored seven points before fouling out against the Cardinal. Forward Tyler Herr leads St. Mary’s in scoring (14.8) and is second in rebounding (5.4).
