Minor Quake Causes No Damage or Injuries

A minor earthquake jolted residents of this San Francisco suburb Tuesday, but there were no reports of injuries or damage.

The magnitude-3.6 quake struck at 12:22 a.m. about one mile south of Pacifica and about 12 miles south of downtown San Francisco.

The temblor was felt throughout the city and most of the San Francisco peninsula.

The San Andreas fault goes to sea west of the Golden Gate just northwest of the epicenter of Tuesday’s quake.
