Judge Says He Fixed Speeding Tickets

A San Joaquin Superior Court judge admitted fixing speeding tickets for a deputy sheriff’s son and a Minnesota Twins pitcher.
Judge Michael Platt told the Commission on Judicial Performance that he violated judicial ethics rules by asking clerks to fix tickets.
Platt said he dismissed tickets for pitcher Eddie Guardado of Stockton and the son of a deputy who once worked as his bailiff.
