Welcome Wagon Had a Breakdown?

Share

I think the city of Los Angeles owes Nebraska and its football fans a big apology. The treatment they endured while visiting your city was absurd. They were there only to support their football team. The BCS put us in the Rose Bowl. To blame it on the Huskers was ridiculous. The football team was booed loudly, twice at the Lakers’ game. What a bunch of hospitable people you have there!

We who remained in Nebraska read and heard the hundreds of stories about the way they were being treated. Weren’t they there spending money at your shops, hotels, restaurants, Disneyland and other tourist attractions? We had over 70,000 people help boost your city’s economy, and all you can do is treat them like dirt.

Nearly everyone agrees that Oregon should have been there instead of us, but that was out of our hands. Blame the BCS and treat them like dirt. Don’t take it out on normal, everyday people who come to your city to visit.
