Oakes, Lindstrom Are All-Americans

Jill Oakes, a midfielder for North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake High last season, and Stacy Lindstrom, a midfielder for Aliso Niguel, head a list of six girls’ soccer players from the Southland who have been named to Student Sports magazine’s All-American teams.

Oakes, The Times’ player of the year, and Lindstrom were named to the first team and will be teammates at UCLA in the fall.

Midfielder Shannon Foley of Santa Margarita and forward Jenny Farenbaugh of Woodland Hills Louisville were selected to the second team.

Defenders Daniella Bosio of Santa Margarita and Hayley Hunt of Pasadena Poly were named to the third team.

Foley will be a senior at Santa Margarita in the fall. The others will be freshmen in college.
