2 Hurt When Car Jumps Curb; Driver Arrested

Two pedestrians were critically injured Monday when a car jumped the curb and struck them at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, police said.
The driver lost control at about 7:20 p.m., striking the two as they stood in front of public telephones. The seriously injured driver tried to run, police said, but was caught.
