Sewage Leak Prompts Closure of Two Marinas
Orange County health officials closed two parts of Huntington Harbour to swimmers and divers Thursday after ocean water was tainted by raw sewage.
Sunset Aquatic Marina and Portofino Cove Marina will remain off limits until testing shows the water is safe, said Monica Mazur, spokeswoman for the county Health Care Agency.
She said Pacific Bell workers punctured a Garden Grove sewer line, which leaked into a nearby flood-control channel that empties into the harbor.
