This Madness Is Truly a Nationwide Happening

I found it very odd that, in defeating Kent State, Indiana managed to make 15 of 19 three-point attempts, while converting only 12 of 21 from the free-throw line. I guess those Hoosiers, true to Midwest tradition, simply don’t believe in accepting charity.

Chris Dufresne’s pungent comment about Michigan possibly being the “Gomorrah of the Great Lakes” is clever but representative of yellow journalism in that it doesn’t tell the whole story. This story is almost 10 years old, involves a few losers like Chris Webber and resulted in a wholesale dismantling of the basketball program by the university.

He also was confused by the fact that we consider Harvard to be the “Michigan of the East” and Stanford the “Michigan of the West”. He should have also noted that the U.S. World & News Report (alphabetically) listed Michigan as one of the 20 schools on its Honor Roll based on ethics, gender equity, won-lost record, number of sports and graduation rate. Now you know the rest of the story.
