Teen Held in Fatal Shooting of Boy, 12

Placer County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 15-year-old boy Saturday on suspicion of fatally shooting 12-year-old Justin Kosinski.
Deputies reported that Kosinski was shot in the neck while five youths, ages 10 to 15, were in a house handling a gun Friday.
The boy died in the Sierra foothills town east of Auburn while waiting to be airlifted to a hospital.
The Sheriff’s Department booked the 15-year-old in Placer County Juvenile Hall on Saturday.
