Woman Killed in Collision at Huntington Beach Intersection
A woman died Wednesday evening after she apparently ran a red light and collided with another car at a Huntington Beach intersection, police said.
The identity of the woman -- described as being in her 40s -- was not immediately known, authorities said.
The accident occurred shortly before 8 p.m. when the woman, driving south on Beach Boulevard, ran a red light at Warner Avenue and plowed into another car making a left turn from the opposite direction, said Lt. Bruce Kelly of the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Two occupants of the other car were taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, Kelly said.
