The St. Louis Rams aren’t ruling Marshall Faulk out of Monday night’s game against Chicago.

The All-Pro running back left Sunday’s game against San Diego because of a sprained left ankle and a strained tendon in his right foot, and was on crutches Monday.

But Faulk was feeling much better Wednesday.

“Nobody heals like he does,” Coach Mike Martz said.

Martz said Faulk, listed as questionable, probably won’t practice at least until Saturday.

“We’ll be pessimistic at this point and say he won’t be ready,” Martz said. “If he is ready, it’ll be a surprise, and that’s how we’ll prepare.

Seattle receiver Darrell Jackson was back at practice, nearly three weeks after suffering a postgame seizure at Dallas.

Jackson was hit hard on the head by safety Darren Woodson, who was fined $75,000 by the NFL. Jackson might play against Kansas City on Nov. 24.

Quarterback Chris Chandler will start for Chicago against the Rams, although the Bears still are not sure who’s going to snap the ball to him.

Center Olin Kreutz had an appendectomy Monday night.

Chandler strained his neck on a fourth-down sneak Sunday but said the pain had diminished. Jim Miller, who began the season as the Bears’ starting quarterback, has been slowed by tendinitis in his throwing elbow and shoulder.

Detroit kick returner Desmond Howard will be out for the season because of a neck injury. The Lions claimed receiver Jacquez Green, who was waived by Washington on Tuesday.... Cleveland running back Jamel White will not play against Cincinnati on Sunday because of a separated right shoulder.... San Diego tackle Vaughn Parker had surgery on his left triceps and will be out for at least Sunday’s game against San Francisco.

A judge ordered Washington offensive lineman Rod Jones to pay a Cincinnati jewelry store $16,854 for a diamond-encrusted, football-shaped pendant that the player said he never ordered.

A store employee showed a receipt he said Jones had signed as a promise to pay for the pendant he ordered in 2000 while with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jones said the receipt was a forgery or had been altered.
