Fourth Arrest Made in Transgender Killing
From Times Wire Reports
A fourth suspect has been arrested in the beating and strangling of a Newark transgender teen at a party last month.
Eddie “Gwen” Araujo, 17, was killed after it was discovered the youth was male rather than female.
Jason Cazares, 22, of Fremont was arrested Saturday after police gathered enough evidence to obtain an arrest warrant.
Two weeks after the Oct. 3 party, another suspect led authorities to a shallow grave where Araujo’s body was found.
