The LPGA Tour season comes to an end this weekend, and Annika Sorenstam is still going strong.

Despite another three-putt bogey, Sorenstam continued her otherwise flawless play Friday with a two-under-par 70 that gave her a one-stroke lead in the ADT Championship at West Palm Beach, Fla., putting her in good position to win her 11th title of the year.

Sorenstam was at seven-under 137 and was surprised to be one stroke ahead of Rachel Teske (66), Lorie Kane (69) and Meg Mallon (71).

“I felt like I left so many putts out there that I was going to be behind,” she said. “I guess the others are leaving some there as well.”

Tiger Woods lost more ground in the Dunlop Phoenix at Miyazaki, Japan, shooting a three-under 68 to fall eight strokes behind second-round leader Kaname Yokoo. Woods, at three-under 139, holed a 40-foot eagle chip on the par-five fourth hole, but had only one birdie.

Charles Howell III took full advantage of the decision to re-start the first round of the Australian Open, shooting a five-under 65 to take a one-stroke lead at Melbourne. Howell was 10 over after 14 holes Thursday when organizers called off play because the Victoria Gold Club’s dry greens were too fast to putt. The tournament was shortened to 54 holes.

John Huston and Jeff Maggert fired an eight-under 64 under the alternate-shot format to take the first-round lead in the Franklin Templeton Shootout at Naples, Fla.
