Body Is Found in Wreckage of Plane
From Times Wire Reports
Authorities found a body in the wreckage of a light plane in the hills near Pleasanton and were investigating whether it was the craft that vanished from radar screens Sunday.
A police helicopter spotted the wreckage Monday, an Alameda County sheriff’s spokesman said. The National Transportation Safety Board was on the case because it involves a fatality, an FAA spokesman said.
Authorities said a plane flown by a Boise pilot was en route to Palo Alto when it disappeared.
