New Mexico guard Senque Carey is unable to move his legs after injuring his spinal cord during a game Monday against Northwestern State at home.

Carey appeared to collide with Northwestern State’s Byron Allen with seven minutes 41 seconds left in the first half as Allen drove to the basket.

Carey barely moved for about 10 minutes while medical personnel tended to him. He was placed in a neck brace before being put on a stretcher.
