New Management Team at Sony Pictures

Share

Sony Pictures Entertainment Co. formally announced its new management structure, and it looks a lot like the old management structure.

The team that helped to create this summer’s blockbuster “Spider-Man” will continue to run the studio.

Promoted to vice chairmen of Sony Pictures Entertainment are: Amy Pascal, chairwoman of Columbia Pictures; Jeff Blake, president of worldwide marketing and distribution and Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group; and Yair Landau, president of Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment.

All three report to John Calley, chairman and chief executive, who is expected to extend his tenure at the studio for two years beyond the end of his contract next spring. In addition, Sony Corp. of America Chairman and CEO Howard Stringer also has committed to remain for an additional three years, with an option to stay through 2007.

Sony Pictures Entertainment is a division of Sony Corp. of America, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Sony Corp.
