From Times Staff Reports

Two men remained locked inside an Anaheim carwash late Sunday after they were trapped by employees who believed they were about to rob the business, police said.

A third unidentified man surrendered to police at the Sunkist Carwash about 90 minutes after the standoff began at 2:48 p.m. at Sunkist street and Lincoln avenue.

Police Sgt. Rick Martinez said police believed the three were armed. The employees fled and locked the door, trapping the suspects, Martinez said. Attempts to reach the suspects by telephone and bullhorn were unsuccessful.
