Sept. 11 in History
After 61 years, the nation still remembers Pearl Harbor. Sixty-one-plus years from now, it will still remember Sept. 11. Weeks-long coverage by the media either numbs us to the tragedy or prolongs the pain. To set aside one day each year to pay solemn homage to those events and their heroes is appropriate and sufficient. Just as with a death in the family, we as a nation must muster the courage to get on with our lives, wherever that path may lead.
