The Clippers will open training camp Tuesday in Palm Desert with a notable addition and some equally notable absences.
Andre Miller, acquired in a much-anticipated off-season deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers in which the Clippers had to give up fan favorite Darius Miles, will take over at point guard.
Meanwhile, All-Star power forward Elton Brand (knee) and small forward Lamar Odom (ankle) could sit out training camp and the start of the regular season.
