Olowokandi Won’t Play

Center Michael Olowokandi will not return to the court this season, the team announced Monday. Olowokandi, who had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Feb. 3, is at least four weeks from being able to run, General Manager Elgin Baylor said.

Update -- The Clippers defeated the Grizzlies twice at Staples Center this season, most recently March 30, and lost once at Memphis. Power forward Elton Brand is averaging 18.7 points and 13.3 rebounds in three games since returning to the court after a five-week layoff because of a stress fracture in his lower left leg. Brand had 29 points and eight rebounds in the Clippers’ victory Saturday.
