Two Games Stand Between Changes

Share

There are two games still to play before the Clippers can devote their full energies to the off-season and the many changes it will bring. Two losses would help their odds for securing the No. 1 pick in the draft, but two victories could help make a case for the team to retain Dennis Johnson as coach.

A victory Saturday over Denver left the Clippers ahead of four teams, including the Nuggets, in the league’s overall standings. The Clippers are 6-16 since Johnson replaced Alvin Gentry as coach March 3.
