Spending Limit Is Lifted in Council Race

Campaign spending by outside groups on behalf of City Council candidate Martin Ludlow lifted the spending cap in the 10th Council District race Wednesday, allowing Ludlow and opponent Deron Williams to spend unlimited amounts up to the May 20 election.
Casden Properties, a Los Angeles development company, and the political arm of the County Federation of Labor reported campaign expenditures totaling more than $14,000.
