Shuttle Driver Killed in Crash Is Man From Port Hueneme
The driver of a company shuttle who died when he broadsided a produce truck Wednesday was identified as 34-year-old Neville Griffiths of Port Hueneme.
The Ventura County medical examiner’s office said Griffiths, who was unmarried and had no children, died of injuries to the chest and abdomen.
Oxnard police said Griffiths, an employee of Pacific Vehicle Processors, was not wearing a seat belt.
None of the 14 passengers in the shuttle was seriously injured, authorities said.
Police said the driver of the truck, who was not injured, ran a red light at Hueneme Road and Edison Drive.
