Clippers Never Reach Top of Their Game
I read in Elliott Teaford’s Clipper Report that the Clippers haven’t been able to field their top 12 players for any game this season.
Top 12 players? What team in the NBA has top 12 players?
Most teams have an eight-man rotation with two to three “go-to” guys. If you consider Brand, Odom and Miller to be the Clippers’ “go-to” guys, then they’ve had their nucleus during a recent 4-12 stretch.
When are you going to criticize poor play and coaching? Let’s discuss why the Clippers habitually build up leads in the first three quarters, then let it all slip away at crunch time. Let’s discuss why they can beat the best team in the league -- Sacramento -- then lose to the worst team in the league the next week.
Now is the time for the players and coaches to be held accountable for the team’s poor play, not making excuses for guys being injured in training camp.
