Two men drew a knife on a motorist who offered them a ride Thursday and then took off in his vehicle, Oxnard police said.
Eric Joe Headworth, 21, and Jeffrey Carlton Evans, 27, both of Oxnard, were arrested by California Highway Patrol officers on suspicion of vehicle theft and carjacking, authorities said.
Alejandro Garcia told authorities one man brandished a knife and took his keys about 2:10 a.m. at a gas station in the 1100 block of Oxnard Boulevard. He said the other man then climbed into the driver’s seat and the two took off, leaving him behind.
