Park to Get $1 Million in Federal Funds
From Times Wire Reports
Efforts to ease traffic congestion got a boost with congressional approval of $1 million in federal funding.
The money is part of $12 million for Marin County contained in a $397.4-billion spending bill approved by both houses of Congress in recent days.
President Bush has said he will sign the bill. The $1 million will go toward building a parking facility and starting a shuttle bus system to serve the park, which averages about 1.4 million visitors a year.
