Loyola Marymount (6-7) at San Diego State (7-3), KXLU-FM (88.9), 7 -- The Lions had lost four consecutive games until a 74-69 victory over South Carolina State last Friday in the consolation game of the four-team Montana State tournament. Guard Brandon Worthy leads the Lions with an 11.9 scoring average, but forward Andy Osborn has averaged 15 points in his last four games. San Diego State has won five consecutive games after a pedestrian start that included five-point losses to Eastern Washington and Portland. Center Mike Mackell averages 17.2 points for the Aztecs, and former Westchester guard Tony Bland averages 14.1. The game is Coach Steve Fisher’s 100th at San Diego State.

WOMEN

Washington (9-1,1-0) at UCLA (7-4, 2-0), Pauley Pavilion, 7, KBET (850), KTDD (1350) -- Washington is trying to become the third Pacific 10 Conference team to be ranked in the top 25 (along with Stanford and Arizona). Since losing to Texas Tech in November, Washington has won eight in a row. Four of the five Husky starters are scoring in double figures, led by senior guard Loree Payne (16.0). UCLA has won three in a row behind the guard tandem of senior Michelle Greco (19.3) and freshman Nikki Blue (15.6).

Washington State (0-9, 0-2) at USC (5-7, 0-2), Sports Arena, 7 -- The Trojans have lost three in a row and five of their last six. But USC isn’t as victory-starved as Washington State, which has lost 33 in a row. Junior forward Bianca McCall (11.3) is the lone Cougar scoring in double figures. USC forward Ebony Hoffman made leading the Pac-10 in rebounding one of her goals this season . She is currently fourth (9.5).
