Garcia Has Four Mounts in Pick Six Races
Jockey Eddie Garcia, who moved into second place for all-time victories at Los Alamitos with two wins Sunday, will try to add to his total of 2,216 as racing resumes tonight.
Garcia, who passed Kenny Hart and trails Danny Cardoza by 312 victories, has four mounts in the pick six, which has a juicy carryover of $39,766.
In the third, Garcia will ride Biscotti, a 4-year-old mare who won three times in 2002, against six other $20,000 claimers going 300 yards. Then he’ll climb aboard Red Hot Speed in the fifth, Holy Ground in the seventh and Mighty Advance Man in the eighth.
Red Hot Speed steps up after beating $20,000 claimers Nov. 23, and Mighty Advance Man won by two lengths against $4,000 claimers Dec. 26 and steps up a level for trainer Rodney Hart.
The picks: 1. Big Mouth. 2. Buster Browne. 3. La Classique. 4. Kid Killarney. 5. Flys R Streakin. 6. Superific Season. 7. Willie Wanta Pie. 8. Mighty Advance Man.
Four! Use Big Mouth, Billy Bob Dave and A Blurr in the first, single Buster Browne in the second, La Classique, Golden Lil Secret and Sweet Ribbons in the third and Kid Killarney, Expocito and Zipolator in the fourth.
Shots in the dark: Prized Pistol drops in class for trainer Adan Farias in the sixth. Fly By A Nose tries much softer in the eighth.
