Lotta Bang Is Trying to Make Some Noise

Share

Last in the Los Alamitos Million, Lotta Bang will be facing softer competition as he tries to rebound in tonight’s fifth race, a $12,550 allowance at 350 yards.

Owned by the Lucky Seven Ranch and trained by Jaime Gomez, the 3-year-old gelding qualified for the Million with a three-length trial victory but broke poorly in the final and never got involved. Lotta Bang will be ridden by Ramon Sanchez and will break from the rail in the field of six.

The first leg of the night’s second pick four also lured recent winners Willie Good Time and Love A Lark Jr.

The picks: 1. Flying Jeb. 2. Fantome Cs. 3. Finest Ryon. 4. Chicago Joe. 5. Lotta Bang. 6. Spring Bold. 7. Saatin. 8. Greek Gus.

Four! Use Lotta Bang, Love A Lark Jr and Willie Good Time in the fifth, Spring Bold and Legal Thief in the sixth, Saatin and Tikis Freezframe in the seventh and Prep Schooler and Greek Gus in the eighth.

Shots in the dark: Induction Day could bounce back in the fourth with the return to Los Alamitos. Tikis Freezframe should improve second time out in the seventh for trainer Felix Payne.
