A Large Carry-Over Awaits

Share

For the second week in a row at Santa Anita, horse players will be greeted by a hefty pick six carry-over after a two-day break.

There is $149,416 in the pot after a slew of upsets Monday.

A $32,000 claimer for 3-year-old maiden fillies at 1 1/16 miles, the third race kicks off the pick six. The prime contenders appear to be Shezsospiritual, who is dropping out of tougher races, Weho, who will be trying dirt for the first time, and Dominated Year, who is stretching out after a sprint.

The fourth is a one-mile race for $20,000 4-year-olds and features class dropper Severo; the fifth is an optional claimer at 1 1/4 miles on the turf where most of the attention figures to go to Theatre Script and Requete.
