Police Seek Information in Fontana Killing
Police asked for the public’s help Wednesday in finding an ex-convict who allegedly killed a man and wounded another last weekend.
Tyree Mitchell, 23, is a West Covina gang member who also goes by the name of Tyrone Carden, said Det. Raymond Schneiders. His last known address is in Covina, but he has friends in Rialto and Fontana, police said.
The shooting occurred Saturday behind a Fontana apartment complex in the 17000 block of Merrill Avenue where Mitchell once lived. The wounded man had fought with Mitchell when they were inmates at Chino State Prison, police said.
